# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • Kids will actually help you make these without complaint because they get to crush cookies and decorate their own creations.
  • It's completely no-bake, which means your kitchen stays cool and you finish in under 20 minutes flat.
  • The layering actually tastes incredible—rich chocolate pudding, creamy middle, and that satisfying cookie crunch that somehow never gets soggy.
02 -
  • Don't crush your cookies too far ahead or they'll start absorbing moisture and turning into paste—do it right before assembly for maximum crunch that actually lasts.
  • If your pudding gets too thick before you layer it, a splash of cold milk whisked in will loosen it back up without ruining the texture.
03 -
  • The secret to pudding that sets fast is using milk straight from the fridge—never use room temperature milk or it'll take forever to thicken properly.
  • If you want the cookie crumbs to stay extra crunchy and not sink immediately, make sure your whipped topping layer is thick and sturdy enough to support them.
