Air-Fryer Tornado Potatoes (Print Version)

Seasoned spiral potatoes air-fried until crispy. Perfect for sharing as a fun snack or savory side.

# Components:

→ Potatoes

01 - 4 medium russet potatoes, scrubbed

→ Seasoning

02 - 2 tablespoons olive oil
03 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
04 - 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
05 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
06 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

→ Optional Toppings

07 - 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (omit for vegan)
08 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
09 - 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

# Directions:

01 - Insert a long wooden or metal skewer lengthwise through the center of each potato.
02 - Using a sharp knife, cut the potato in a spiral motion along the skewer, rotating as you slice from one end to the other. Carefully stretch the potato along the skewer to separate the spirals evenly.
03 - In a small bowl, combine olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
04 - Brush or rub the seasoning evenly over each spiral potato, ensuring the mixture covers all surfaces and fills the gaps between spirals.
05 - Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
06 - Place spiraled potatoes on skewers in the air fryer basket without overlapping or touching.
07 - Air-fry for 20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through, until potatoes are crisp and golden brown.
08 - Optionally sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, chopped parsley, and chili flakes before serving.
